Precision Pipe Coatings was created out of necessity, due to the inherent corrosion problems facing oil and gas industry.

Through our clients, we identified a need for our company to develop a system that would protect the face and threads of tubing as well as the ID from the corrosive elements of CO2, H2S and Chlorides.

ID Phenolic Epoxy Coating

Using existing coating practices that have been tried and tested at our small parts facility, we were able to integrate a thick mil fusion bonded epoxy used on the ID of the pipe, with a thin mil PTFE coating that covers the threads. This combination creates a barrier of unparalleled corrosion protection throughout a tubing string. Some of the major benefits of our coating systems are:

12 - 14 mil phenolic epoxy coating on the pipe ID
Completely coated face and threads on both ends of tubing
Completely coated ID of collar

The long term benefits of this coating system, will be the increased productivity of the tubing strings because failure in the make up area is considerably reduced. This ultimately will lead to considerable long term savings and extended service periods.

Polyethelene Lining Systems

Precision Pipe Coatings has undertaken to provide its customers with the best in lining system technology. We have developed a lining system that utilizes existing technology as well as started developing a lining system that tackles CO2 injection under very high pressure. Our entry level lining system, uses HDPE ling material that has historically improved rod wear and extended run times of production tubing. Again, we use our coating technology to protect the threads and face of the tubing, while the lining and face seal protect the ID. Our new CO2 injection lining technology will focus on the prevention of CO2 permeation and lining collapse upon depressurization. Our lining systems will offer:
