PC-702 Thermoplastics

PC-702 is a new engineered thermoplastic that has high thermal stability and outstanding chemical resistance. It's exclusivity to Precision Coatings opens fresh worlds of fusion bonding strength. Its application and profile allow us to coat low tolerance areas that have been out of bounds to normal epoxy type coatings.

Typical advantages to PC-702

• PC-702 is a dry powdered coating process that will enhance the durability and longevity of normal steel parts. In practical tests, outlasting stainless steel parts is not uncommon.
• A thermally bonded polymer that protects threads without compromising the makeup or tolerance of the parts connections. This is not possible with fusion bonded epoxies, due to their thickness.
• Produces smooth, even 1-4 mils of protective coating to all areas of metal parts. There are no exposed areas.
• PC-702 provides resistance to hydrogen sulfide (H2S), carbon dioxide (co2), oxygen, salt water and stimulation acids.
• High temperature reaction (700 - 750F) results in thermal stability and eliminates pin-holes in the coating.
• Reduces Total Cost of ownership.
• More durable than plastics, ceramics and epoxies.
• Exotic metals such as aluminum bronze, stainless steel, and titanium can be replaced with ductile iron or carbon steel when protected by PC-702.
